Which means when Yukio follows Crow and then waits for the whaleman to actually get on, he does seem to not have been lying through his teeth; once the tail's tucked out of the way he settles behind Crow, his own stingray-ish tail carefully tucked upward instead to prevent any tire mishaps.]

Just try to keep it somewhere below the speed of sound, alright?

[It is intended to be a joke, but the silence immediately afterwards from behind Crow suggests Yukio is suddenly worried that it might actually be POSSIBLE to go that fast and now that he SAID IT..]

[He grins wildly as he revvs his motorbike's engine. Blackbird could go at least twice the speed of this motorbike!]

[And with that, he takes off without warning! Well, no warning other than the earlier motorcycle roaring. Out of respect for their friendship, Crow does ratchet the speed down a notch, but to someone who's not a speed demon, it probably doesn't feel any different.]
