[HEY That's a long fall for this size!
At least the gift is okay though.] Well I figure we know each other right? That's how the Christmas thing is supposed to work isn't it?
[Once + Likely Passing for a mountain expedition is not generally grounds for christmas kid!]
no subject
I guess? Christmas is more of a romantic holiday where I'm from.
[Crow grins cheekily.]
I think you're a bit too young for me.
no subject
Never figured the event for pure romance though, with all those 'santa and kids' tales I heard through Purgatory...
no subject
There's still Santa giving presents to kids and stuff I guess. But...
[Crow shrugs.]
...It's not like I got any when I was little. We didn't really celebrate it back home.
[Crow walks over to the boxes.]
So, are all of these for me? Or just one?
no subject
acts it too] Huh. Well, can't say it was big where I was myself...mostly I was busy dealing with angels and the like--wasn't anyone around to give a present to if I wanted mate![He laughs--a well placed cloak on something that still stings even now--and holds the box up; there's a card on it, with a curiously hand-drawn likeness of the bird form that Crow held a few weeks earlier, when the other looks.
Everything else...] Yep! All yours mate!
[The stuffed toy is in one box--the other, more personalized gift, is in a second one.]
no subject
His throat's tight when he speaks, the words come out a little choked.]
...Thanks, Loki. Am I supposed to open this right now?
no subject
Half of everyone opened them right there, the others went and shoved them under a tree... ...I suppose in the end it's up to you mate!
no subject
I hate waiting.
[Crow tucks the box under an arm, the card held in his hand with care.]
Do you want to come in? I've got food if you want something before you head off.
no subject
As quickly as the offer is made, the panda releases travel form, a 7 foot gangling mess of werebear standing in its place.] Offering anything in particular mate?
[Really he's just happy about food.]
no subject
Uh.
[What does he have in the kitchen right now anyway? Oh who's he kidding.]
I've got leftover soup in the fridge. Or I could cook noodles if you prefer that.
no subject
...That take much time, mate? [He's never had those...]
no subject
Less than half an hour.
[It'd take even less time if he had instant noodles, but unfortunately those haven't been invented yet.]
Come on.
[The inside of Crow's apartment is sparse, to say the least. Other than the necessities, there isn't a lot in there to personalise the place and make it feel lived in, rather than a place to stay. If Crow wanted to leave, there would be very few belongings to pack.
But at least it's tidy.]

[Food first, gift unwrapping later. Crow makes a bee-line for the kitchen, putting the boxed gift onto the table there. A pair of wooden chairs are tucked away by the table.
Crow rummages in the pantry for the noodles, pulling out a packet before going back to the stove and filling up a saucepan with water.]
You picky about the kinda meat you eat?
no subject
Er...no preference really; I sort of go after whatever.
[...Not to mention his lawbringing route takes him through the soup kitchen. Sooooo...]
no subject
[These days, Crow prefers to catch his fish fresh.
Crow turns on the heating element, adding a pinch of salt to the saucepan of water before ducking back to the fridge and pulling out a carton of eggs and a bunch of vegetables.]
So what's the deal with you being as old as the planet? Because if that's actually true, you uh. [The ridge above one of Crow's eyes rises] Aged really well.
no subject
[That just feels misleading. BUT ANYWAY.]
That? Yeah, it's true-comes with being a god, mate, or even half of one.
I might've skipped a few centuries trying to get away from the other half though.
no subject
A god?
[Crow's regarding Loki warily, attention away from the stove while he waits for the water to boil. He's not even bothering to hide his misgivings.]
What kinda god we talking here?
no subject
[That is not what he was asking, Loki.] I said 'half' for a reason mate; the one I was half of gave everything he could to humanity, so they could control their destinies.
So if you ask me, I'd say the god of Chaos and Free Will.
no subject
Thanks, I guess.
[Crow extends one of his claws, using it to puncture the packet of noodles before pulling it apart.]
How's it feel? Being brought down to our level.
no subject
Anyway...eating is new! So's sleeping, and both were pretty great if you ask me!
So much as 'reincarnating' myself to be human back home didn't work out, I sort of got there in the end!~
no subject
Huh. Sounds uh. Complicated. And different. Sucks about purgatory.
[Is the water hot enough yet? No, but also he should stop slacking with the cooking. Crow moves to put oil on a frypan, also turning up the heat on the heating element, before putting the vegetables in a bowl and washing them.]
So now that you can talk with people, you made other friends? Besides that banana head, Yugo.
no subject
[He saw the resemblance too, needless to say. He leans back a bit in his seat, watching Crow while he answers.] Of course! There's a few here-I actually live with one of them right now, she's great!
Don't ever lie to her though, she'll probably kill you. [Orrrrr just pummel you.]
no subject
What? That sounds way too extreme!
[Water boiling? Time to pull the noodles from the packet and dunk them in water.]
no subject
[......that might not be the only reason she was mad then.]
